The Galvalume® Steel Advantage

Economic Advantages of Galvalume® Over Galvanized

Total Coated Area Per Ton % Area more in Galvalume® over Galvanised
Sheet Thickness Galvalume® Coated G-90 Galvanized
mm Sq.meter Sq.meter %
0.3 406 384 6
0.38 320 306 5
0.64 188 183 3
1 116 114 2

Galvalume® is a Value-for-Money product as there is significantly More Area Per Ton of coated steel, especially for lower gauges.

Superior Corrosion Resistance

Galvalume® provides Galvanic & Barrier Protection as opposed to predominantly galvanic protection by Galvanized steel, thus Galvalume® lasts 2-4 times longer than equivalent thickness Zinc coating (traditional Galvanized sheet) and outlasts Aluminium Coated Type 1 & 2 products, when exposed to same atmospheric conditions.
